Wee Kare Learning Center

is a locally owned early learning center that provides preschool and childcare services for children ages one and up. The program follows the Active Learning Series curriculum, offering a structured and developmentally appropriate environment that supports school readiness and the development of foundational skills.

The center offers infant and toddler care, preschool and kindergarten instruction, as well as before- and after- school programs for school- age children. Additional services include summer camp programs and transportation to local schools, helping support working families throughout the year

As a Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) provider, Wee Kare is dedicated to building a strong educational foundation that prepares children for long-term academic success. With more than 25 years serving the West Volusia community, the center has earned a reputation for providing high-quality childcare.

All staff members are trained in First Aid and CPR, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for every child.

Our Program / Curriculum:

At Wee Kare the children are introduced to the Creative Curriculum which is a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that features exploration and discovery as a way of learning, enabling children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical-thinking skills.

The daily schedule encourages the children to make choices about materials and activities throughout the day. As they pursue their choices and plans, children explore, ask and answer questions, solve problems, and interact with classmates and adults.

Our Program gives children the opportunity to pursue their own interests, make plans, follow through on them and reflect on their experiences with peers and adults. Our approach is individualized to meet each child’s needs and interests. Each classroom is organized with centers for creative art, literature, science, pre-math, dramatic play, and cognitive and motor development. These centers are arranged in several clearly defined interest areas that enable children to find, use and return the materials they need in order to explore, invent, and learn about their world.
